Jon , With out any doubt one of my most favourite layouts such detail .

Thanks Steve, hope one day we'll get to share a beer as you get to see it for real.;)

There is light at the end of the tunnel on this update...

...two trains quite easy under Revolution control...
IMG_4090.JPG

...even can do opposing running if I don't mind running between stations to execute the passing...
IMG_4089.jpg

...though normally still just doing roundy roundy running....
IMG_3906.JPG

The angle of the late afternoon sun highlight Punga Cliffs rather nicely...
IMG_3757.JPG

...and from this angle too...
IMG_3763.JPG

...but for this extended update....if I still have your attention...we end up back at the level crossing.

Looking good John!!!!!

I particularly like the angle of the cutting to the right of the cattle stop, the shallow angle gives a feel of wide open spaciousness, great!!

If I had done it it would have probably been steeper to save on space,

love the way theres plants growing out of it as well

Something special John.......Just love the ambiance, the modeling....the layout!

dam i love this railway...
keep it up, loveing it

It is a beautiful little railway. It's very much a railway in proportion to, and running through, the landscape - something rarely seen in the larger scales.

looking great
love the mossnear the crossing and the light effects
charming

Thanks everyone, your to kind :admire:
I'd like to say it's all exactly how I'd planned it, you know, as carefully thought through as an entry to the Chelsea flower show, but I not that clever!

Just a two picture up date today, a short running season afterwork, perfect way to end the working week.
SWMBO's loco and Binnie skip train easing out of Punga Cliffs yard....

...and drifting down the embankment between Nina's trestle and the bottom tunnel.

Golly it's been a while since I update this ongoing log of running at the H&MGR. The closing months of 2010 were pretty busy but some limited running did take place, even if it at time it was after dark...
IMG_4160.JPG

lucky the house outside lights work well...
IMG_4150.JPG

but the day where lengthening all the time.

Melinda's train of Binnie skips continues to earn it's keep...

here crossing the trestle bridge in the late afternoon sun...
IMG_4240.JPG

Sometimes the light just catches things a prefect angle for a detail shot...
IMG_4244.JPG

...or a shot picking up rivets on the loco cab front ;)

The Bush Jigger gets ready to heads out...
IMG_4380.JPG

may taking lunch out to the woodsman
IMG_4571.JPG

or perhaps he should have taken some parts to the coalman?
IMG_4389.JPG

Sunday service...
IMG_4385.JPG

is usually a special of GSM coaches hauled by, you guessed it, the Dubs A...
IMG_4396.JPG

What better thing would there be to do on a Sunday than ride behind the Dubs!
IMG_4384.JPG

Well that is probably more than enough, so the last few for this extend update...

It's been busy at Kakariki too...
IMG_4398.JPG

and the new cattle stops have become a favourite photo spot...
IMG_4583.JPG

...from different angles, with different trains....
IMG_4585.JPG

well okay the same trains and different angles...
IMG_4598.JPG

or the same trains and almost the same angle...
IMG_4596.JPG

That's all folks :nerd: (for now :crying:)
