Foam board - offer

had about an hour to kill this morning while some black rubber circles where fitted to my car, the Range is doing 4 x A1 sheets of 5mm foam board for a tenner.

Yeah noticed that on Saturday, though couldn't think of an immediate use at the time so didn't actually buy any.
 
Is that the stuff with the foam core and the paper facing both sides, or the all-plastic foamed board that Mike and others here use for making buildings....?

Think it was the plastic faced stuff
 
The website doesn't say what the facing material of its foamboard is, but the description of it being acid-free would suggest paper...
 
Have picked up 4 sheets this afternoon, it does not say what the outside coating is but it is quite hard and has a satin sheen finish so I assume it is plastic not paper. When I enquired at the till if the girl( woman) knew what the material was I was greeted with the response:' no one has ever asked me that before!' I won't have the opertunity to 'play' with the sheets for a few days but will post if and or when I have had a chance to investigate further, I thought it was well worth a 'punt' , you get a lot of material for a tenner .
