First full circuit of the AVLR

Today I finished the tracklaying on the Ash Vale Light Railway and was able to run the first train around the complete circuit:

I'm hoping that I can get it wired up properly over the winter (so I can bring the terminus/triangle into use) and then have a proper railway to run trains on next year!
There's the prospect of a steam-up happening sometime as well when my loco gets back from lining out. Pics and videos will be forthcoming when it happens

Having had my own similar 'woohoo' moment a couple of weeks ago, when the first wheels roll, I can appreciate how you must feel - that is a great setup in the making.

Excellent! The second time around I wanted to know where the branch off the top return loop goes. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to see a train there. Looking forward to seeing the future work on this project

The branch goes off to what will be the railway's main terminus, which I haven't included in the temporary wiring. (It's accessed by a triangle, which adds extra complication).
