Eighton Bahn AKA testing testing RhB

Now the the sods, spoil and topsoil have been moved, I am not sure if I am happy with the "hill" at the far end of the line...

...now whilst from that angle it looks OK, from the station end it obscures the "S" curve, Seaweed cutting and most of the passing loop. So trains will have to be driven blind as it were, but you can still see one end of the passing loop (I created the hill that way.) I suppose it will need to be tested, to see how it works, and if doesn't then a couple of hours with a wheelbarrow and a shovel can change it.
It is nice to have a train disappear and reappear so perhaps you may grow to enjoy that. I am sure with your well laid track you shoukd have no problems, BUT a quick track look before you start running trains would be advisable.

So to landscape testing, well it's an excuse, not that you need one...

...whoops too late, either that or a G scale wasp nest has been built in the most unlikley location.

The engineers have strimmed the linesides this morning, so an afternoon running session could go ahead...

A shelf a foot wide above the existing sidings will give you space for 2 tracks for storage. Full length of the shed may be possible as no pints would be involved. 6in would give you 1 track with possibly less disruption to he lines below.

Would need to move the alarm sensor, but I have some "London Brackets" and I guess a couple of thin planks would suffice for non loco stock.
Any further pinters would be appreciated.:D

Go on - wassa London bracket ...... and why?

Last year I bought a cheap Massoth chip from Germany, after the origional chip in No 13 blew. It's been now't bother since it was installed, it was in fact taken out and taken away to be re programmed at one point. But it's been a case of when rather than if it would play up and it did so again last week the noise from it indicative of a short somewhere. So today a replacement was installed as well as a general search for the just incase short within the wiring, so it's been a total strip and rebuild...

...not fully back together, needs the rods reattatched, but it's running better and the sound quality has improved, so I am guessing my assumption as to the chip was well founded. Moral of the tale buy cheap, buy twice, I guess.
