I can now confirm that my minds eye, is not talking to my hands.
Started to remodel the station throat/MPD area, at the weekend.

Using the measure twice, cut once, and still make a pigs ear of it rule of track laying.
I gave up in the end and decided to make use of the portable BBQ, well it's the only place in the shed I can store the lengths of track left to use.
I'll give it a few days, and go back to it.
So I am now going back to those lights, looking for 4mm with a 0.5mm side thickness tube to slot onto the 3mm outer tube, and for a fancy bit at the bottom, some of those hexagonal standoff spacers, used for mounting pcb's.
Can anyone tell me if the female version is hollow all the way through, so I can run the wires?
