So the next plan is to use loco magnets under the cars. The reed switches will have to be located in the base station.

Cor, Where did you get that idea from Phil

Nothing like getting others to do your testing for you.:bigsmile:

Hi Trevor just had a spare chip & thought, has it been done

Hi Phil, No mate, I meant you doing the testing for me

You come third on the list, Me 1st, Muns 2nd then you sorry

The Rigi lives. Loco magnet and large reed switches from maplins. First time operation

Come on then Phil we need video proof of it in motion

After the openday's failure of the cable cars (Tooth gone on gear) a new motor has been fitted.

It is now under going exhaustive testing.

But it works:thumbup:

Now we have sorted the digital side out thought I should do a new station.
Spent yesterday doing a base and new building

Lower station . can't decide where to position reed switches

Top station. Not had a great deal of success with reed switches

Not happy with reed switches, so been to maplins trying micro switches seem more reliable.
They are hit by the beam

Hey Phil,

Any progress on this. I am particually interested in the position of the reed switches and magnets.

Oh, and please can you detail the commands you used for the central station programming

Ta

Sorry Mark about delay in posting details of programming, but here goes

The same as the shuttle programe

>I.E M3 then M1 and scroll down to Auto prog. M2 to OK
Then M1 to auto drive confirm with M2 then enter switch(reed)no, In my case because I have the rack on 1 & 2 I chose 3 confirm with M2. Then enter contact number 2b . OK on M2
Loco number your choice, confirm M2. Command 3 confirm M2 then delay your choice..
Thengo through the next stege the same only entering 4 as the number and 2A as contact number. Scroll to end using M1 M2 entering your numbers

Then after the delay time press M2 again at this point the curser goes back to number here press 3 confirm on M2 that should then go to contact at this point press the right arrow.
This then goes back to number enter 4 then Ok on M2 that should take you to contact here press the right arrow then M3 to loco number turn the control knob to the desired speed. Once happy with speed exit to another loco number

Hope this helps

Note the limit switches are in the roof of the station and make contact with the beam
