Decoder in a Wizzy Crank

Afternoon all.
So, I have an opened up 06 Wizzy Crank, a Massoth eMotion xl decoder and a 10 pin lead. Being an optimist, is this a straightforward case of plug and play? Plug in one end and screw in the ten wires in the right order at the other end and job done other than assigning a number. OR, have I missed something? The booklets might as well be in a language I neither know nor really want to. Maybe later but I want to see this loco running. Thanks in optimistic anticipation.

Yes, wire up the 10pin cable to the decoder as per the instructions in the decoder manual.
Remove the jumper plug from the interface board and connect the 10oin plug, making sure the red cable is at the + end.

Will there be Dip Switches to turn off?
 
Hi. Sorry about this but the booklet says remove the bridge before inserting the cable link. However, there are two separate four-pin housings beside each other and each has a housing around it, which prevents the plug end going in.
Any help gratefully accepted.

I am a silly boy. It's in position now. As the saying went in Suffolk, I had it ar.. about face. What is this dip switch possibility?

So much for optimism. Absolutely nothing. Assigned a number, but no go. Connection firmly in and wires in order. No buzzing as when in analogue, just nothing. Thought I detected a tiny movement but not repeated.

On some conversions where you are going into an LGB Board, but not sure on this one which is why I asked the question. If you do another look carefully at the LGB Board if there is one. I am surprised no one has chipped in about the possibility of failure if you do not deal with them correct. The pic below is of a Stainz Board and shows the dips, I have put the one on the right to Off, the rest are on. They should all be off when a chip is added.

I think the removable board replaced the DIP switches.
 
Is it just burn-out on the photo? - Or are the lights very bright?

Just wondering if the dimming value might need adjusting??

Thanks for above. Dimming value??? How best to check? Ran a four-coach train this morning. Lightly oiled axles.

It was just it looked as though they were so bright, they might have been bleeding-through the plastic of the body? - But was probably due to the low-light picture?

Theoretically, as you are running through the original board, that board should take care of this. - It is more if you think they are very bright, then the original board is not regulating the lamp voltage.. They will be fine for a while, but you would probably be changing bulbs quite frequently.

I will keep an eye out for this. It's probably the low light though, as this is similar to other photos. Taking pictures with the kindle causes this I think as the phone has a better camera exposure - wise.
