Riograndad
Model Railroading, boats and oil painting,

I`ve posted work on the crew in another thread but now as started on the loco itself I might as well pull the two together, engineer and fireman now painted in new colours, bandana and oily rag in back pocket now on the engineer which covers the nasty gap between his neck and shoulders and allows his head to be positioned. Now for the loco,I must say I love the loco to bubbles, cracking looking model(IMO) but lacks a few things I think should be there so started to add some little mods to the cab interior as a starting point,,,, the lack of a throttle,so made a a quadrant style to represent something to make it move out of scraps of plasticard shapes and a couple of bolt mouldings which ties up with the engineers hand,to make it stop a brake handle was added and so the crew can see whats going on a few gauges added together with a few extra pipes covered with heatshrink to represent insulation and to join up the cab and boiler pipework gaps in the cab, lastly the bell and whistle ropes were extended with florist wire as this will stay rigid and will sway from side to side when the loco is moving.pics taken while first coat drying and the light was fading so sorry about the quality
cab no and railroad name also added.Still some "bits" to add
