CHANGING THE DECODER ON LGB 27422 Ge4/4 III RhB ELECTRIC lOCO

Yep, I'm at it again.
I want to change the Decoder inside this loco to an ESU XL. Why? Well, I prefer the sounds made by ESU, as the LGB ones are partly generic, and a little limited. Also I have fitted ESU into the RhB Tractor and now that ESU provides the correct CV settings as well, the loco runs very slowly and very smoothly.
So, back to the Ge4/4III.....I am happy with wiring for power pickup, motor, lights and sound. What I am unsure about is how to make the pantographs work with a press of a control button on my Massoth Dimax Navigator. Is there a circuit board within this loco that I can leave in and somehow connect to the ESU ?
Any help here would be appreciated, chaps.

Regards

The only one I have done had had ALL the original board(s) taken out..
I built my own relay board, with a Chinese regulator board, to power the pantographs..
Used F2 for front, and F3 for rear pantograph.. No way with Massoth to trigger different sounds for 'up' and 'down', so fired the 'up' sound when up/down the front one, and the 'down' sound when up/down the rear one.

If you have the original boards to play with, you should have a regulated supply. You may well have control as well, though I believe you may find the boards on earlier models used serial commands for this functionality.
