Broome Lake & Eastern

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

I'm going for the light one ! Its food, so its likely to be cleaner than a general purpose freight car - the doors in particluar.

Fried egg and brown sauce - the winning combination

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Today more progress on the BL&E, with the introduction of Mountain Junction. With thanks to Dud and Steve (not of this parish) for a great day

The buffer stops are where Dudley's MMR will "plug in", or used as a siding for a banking loco (or should that be helper ?)

Better than doing nothing all day..

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

A little more track laid today - Mountain Junction becomes Butler Sidings - until such time as the MMR connects.

The BL&E will eventiually link these two stubs.......

Or should it be called the Bluebell Railway ( has that name been used ? :D )

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Great work there chaps....

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Just got here after a long time away from the Forum.

#20 looks the biz - nice conversion and, looking at the size of the cylinders, presumably powerful. If you line wasn't all one level I'd have put it down as a helper loco. Amazing how a tankless loco can look so different.

The work car you had from me looks much better in grey as a boom-car. Very nice MOW set-up.

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Thanks Giles  And the line isn't all one level - AND - I did have in mind to use it as a helper :)

Great minds, Giles !

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Excellent railway and I do like the colours/weathering of your locos and stock. Yes a good place for an open day!

Next week then.... ;)

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

When this drought ends maybe, the only thing is no power to lines, all engines are battery driven

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

After a promising start to the year, things stalled somewhat due to the [strike]bloody awful[/strike] inclement weather.

But at long last the gang arrived (well Dudley - thanks Dud - plus Steve and Pete, not known to this Parish) and the boards have been laid for the complete circuit.

Dudley's a bit knackered after a heap of sawing.....

And a hint of what it will look like......

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

Excellent work chaps!

Must be getting close to fitting the 'Golden Spike'....

Re:Broome Lake & Eastern RR

You can tell who did all the work, collapsed out cold and people take photos of me laying spent on the floor.
