bolt heads

I am planning to build a galvanised water tank and wondered what people did for miniature bolt heads. I found a mention of Ozark miniatures but could not find any in UK. Suggestions please.

How about small pins, eg. Peco SL-14 track pins? They have a rounded head.

If you want hex heads then there are some tiny sizes out there, I remember buying some many years ago for a G project (though I forget where I got them from). For example, this ebay listing goes down to M0.6 bolts

For all rivets I use dressmakers pins, and would probably use those for anything similar. But if you want more detailed items how about something like these…5E3C51CF-BFCC-4ADC-99E0-FFEB38A451AB.jpeg

As others have said here Cambrian do an excellent range of detailing products. I have used them a lot over the years.

Not so well known here are Archer's Archer Surface Details Their products are waterslide decals that make the process of adding lines of rivets, ok not bolt heads, a doddle. You simply cut a line (or single) from the sheet and apply direct to the model's surface then paint over.

In the picture below they were sprayed over with Halfords rattle can auto paint. Note the carrier film does not show. All I have used is Microscale's "Set" & ""Sol" solutions to aid their settling on the surface. Not cheap and you may have to source direct, a US hobby supplier or ebay traders (there are some UK based) Max

Thanks. However, I found it impossible to join the website despite repeated attempts. then I clicked on your next two addresses and it went straight to them. I will investigate.

Yes, I have a suggestion after searching for similar items. I found an amazing array of fasteners at 3D Printing Service | Shapeways
Shapeways 3D Printing Marketplace

once on their page search for> G scale nuts G scale (1:24) 2" hexagonal nuts / round washer (PFBQUQJVZ) by tebee

G scale (1:24) 1.5" hexagonal nuts / round was (2RDL7A2TD) by tebee

There are many other types and sizes, so browse the site, it's amazing.
Glad to read you’d at least found those samples. The first URL was an edit because of the reason you described. However, I’d failed to explain the next move was to the drop-down menu “solutions” at the top of the page. Then click on “Marketplace” to start from the beginning with your personal search. There is a guy who has a website linked to Shapeway called ‘Keen eyes’ these pages could be of interest. Quote: “Our Scale Models unit develops models of small industrial railway prototypes, specializing in 1:32 and 1:24 scales with secondary production of some designs in 1:13.7, 1:19, 1:20.3, 1:43.5 and 1:48 scales. I have numerous Shapeway bookmarks of G scale items from there. Good Luck

That's better. Both sites were accessible today no bother.

Speaking as one whose 50 years of marriage will be celebrated a week on Saturday, I find it fascinating that it is one of those mathematical certainties that if you get married on a Saturday, the 50th anniversary of your wedding will always be on a Saturday, that's irrespective of when leap years fall, etc.
