DickyC
(BZB Mountain Railway)
So last week I boarded the Hull to Rotterdam overnight Ferry on a road trip to Hamburg and Miniature Wonderland.
On the way I decided to take a diversion of the Dutch Motorways and head to Noordwolde in South Friesland and glad I did. I had been to Northern Friesland many times as "I am owned" by a Dutch Stabyhoun who was born there but think I have found my new favourite region in the Netherlands. Forests, Thatched houses, small dykes and quaint little towns. On the edge of Noordwolde is BIG TRAIN WORLD. with Spring fresh blue skyes
I arrived late morning and wasn't sure if it was open at first.. So peered through the "interesting" Aztec style themed entrance hall and saw the owners at the back in the office and the doors open. I was soon greeted by the owner all the lights in
the massive shop were switched on and I was immediately offered a Coffee (a good coffee at that ! ) and welcomed to look around.

After the coffee was polished off, My adventure into Aladdin's cave started. I dont think that I have ever seen so many G scale offerings and knew at that point I was not leaving empty handed.

Pictures only show a small selection but I was finding stuff only seen online before, Its really well presented and prices quite reasonable for a shop. I had a great conversation with the owner about the Hobby, how things are going and the future and the world ! I would have stayed longer but i had a U-boat in Bremerhaven randevu before 5pm.
Regarding the shop and online, the owner confirmed to me that He not longer sends to the UK orders below £250 as he find it a problem to do the customs paper work, I reiterated to him that if its sent via "post" it really is simple but he was only excepting larger order but still happy to do so. Details on the shop can be found below.
