I added new smokebox faceplates to mine as soon as I got them last year, it makes a huge difference IMHO... been trying to decide if I will repaint Thomas, I like that above pic.

The con rods could do with toning down, but it's a cheap way of getting a nice little Jinty IMO.
I cannot remember which but I'm sure Thomas was either an E1 or an E2 . ( Southern Railway )

Although Jinty is usually the nickname given to the LMS 0-6-0 tank locos, I was under the impression that it became a generic name for many such 0-6-0 tanks in the same way that 0-4-0 tanks became Pugs?
