Hi all - just wondered if anybody had one of these they'd like to dispose of (49Mh)..

16.02.17 - Battery BH (7).JPG

I have only ever had the one TX for the two locos, but it is now going wonky (repaired the slide control once but it a weak point).

Many thanks

Mick,

I presume the slider is a mid-position stop? - Up forward, down reverse?

It could probably be replaced with a click-stop potentiometer.. just an idea??

PhilP.

Yes, your assumption is correct Phil. A pot is an idea if you know how to sort it. If nothing surfaces, I'll have to go down that road. Thanks for the idea!

DSC00036.JPG DSC00037.JPG DSC00038.JPG Hi Mike, Don't forget that there are two different frequency versions of this basic unit, there are a couple in my red shed ( mobile home railway store ) but will take ages to dig out.
The ident tag is on a sticker on loco under side.

Hi John - it is the 49 and NOT the 27. If you find it - or the plural of - let me know please.

Help and salvation is on the way!

Many thanks to Rhinochugger - who will send the results of his searches across the Irish Sea (and also thanks to Phillip and John for their offers and solutions!).

Slight thread drift but hey what the? Like what looks like the look created by removing the Pan and all the other Electrical gubbins from the Roof. Great idea if you want to make a Juicer look like a Diesel. Further thoughts, you could build a sort of exhaust on a piece of Plasticard and use the screw holes to keep it in place. Second hand value not affected providing you keep the removed gear safely. In the Loco Box perhaps?

We've got this thing about running pantos without the strings overhead, also there are some half dozen cats using the tracks as a playground, giving issues with the track fitting of catenary wiring.
This diesel/electric experimental prototype was built from a damaged redundant 4/4 in our workshops, to fill a gap in locos suitable for operation on non-powered branch lines.
The photos are my next effort, this time being built from spare parts, purchased off
evilbay.de over the last year or so, may be fitted with Radio control & internal batteries, the roof section is almost finished apart from painting, exhausts are
hand built, using odds from the spares box & sections of plastic tube sections, if you get the bulk packs from China, usually the sections will telescope inside each other, very useful, the side windows in the green body will be fitted with mesh grill vents & as yet the power bogies have still to be acquired or suitable units withdrawn from stock.DSC00026.JPG DSC00065.JPG DSC00063.JPG DSC00029.JPG
