I recently purchased a Bachmann G Scale Mogul but some geek had cut the wires on the 4 pin plug from the tender to the loco. These apparently run the sound. All the diagrams I find are basic B&W and I need to know what colour wires go to which of the 4 pins on the loco from top to bottom. If anyone has one and could advise me I would be very grateful as Bachmann.com can't even bother replying . . Hopefully someone on here might have one and get in touch . . .Even a colour pic of the 4 pin lead from the tender would help me !

Do you have access to a simple multimeter?
If so switch to a low resistance range and check the connections.
One wire goes to one side of the tender track pickups, and another the other side. These need to connect with the same side pickups on the loco.
The other pair go to the chuff sensor switch, it doesn't matter which way round this pair are connected.

Edit, the above applies to the Mining Mogul.

Thanks Neil . . .
Don't have a meter , but I took the tender apart and found the 4 wires tucked inside ! I fed them back out of the tender and just need to know what colour wires go to which connection on the input to the loco . . where the plug in pins are , I can solder the connections on . . .

There are no connections from the sound system to the track. There are two wires for a rear light.
Two wires are for the chuff.
