AsorA Bahn

Well its a new year and may I wish everyone a Happy New Year.

I have changed the line name to the AsorA Bahn, I think it fits the theme much better.
As its based on the Arosa line, but nearly everything is backwards or wrong :)

What better way to start the year, than running a train.

The cable junction spaces make for very convenient spaces for important stuff.
Unfortunately I will have to shift the bonsai from here, as much as i like it there. That will need to be a place to stand when the catenary is in, to access the center area.

Some shots from todays fun.

Operation is limited to the sidings at St Peter/Molinis and Arosa concrete plant. Something I am keen to expand on.
So as I already have the blocks needed to expand Langwies station.
I think they will be much more useful being redirected as a retaining wall to make a flat space for the expansion of Arosa station.
I will get to Langwies expansion some time in the future, probably a few years away and it can stay as a through station with no sidings or loop for now.

Still a bit more to dig out yet, lucky Doggo he will get a prime view of Arosa station from his little spy hut.
The station area will be1.2m wide and 7.5 meters long in total.
I will have to go through the cuttings i started and see what I can plant on and move the mini shade shelter somewhere else.
Work will start on the wall next week, but the station will be a few months away. Too much more important work to do first.

This will give me the ability to operate a very limited service between Chur and Arosa.
I have less than a quarter of the stock needed to run a full service and that's not going to change this year, but I do have enough to get something fun happening.
Like the troll!!! Fits really well.

I hope everyone has had a very Merry Christmas, another 2 weeks have slipped by.
I have made some decent progress for the time of year, also was good to not have redo anything this fortnight.

Platform tops and forecourt all done with the dust sieved out of the ballast.
Speaking of which, I have run out of ballast now, It really didn't go very far at all. I thought I had way too much :D .
Next time I am at the landscape suppliers I will grab another bucket of crusher dust.
In the meantime I have the 2 crossings and the infill for the siding to finish, they are all cut to shape.
Plus the last section of platform is cut and just needs finishing and gluing in place.
.
Stunning. Absolutely stunning.

A shaky loop around the railway, don't expect too much. Just my phone tied to a lump of metal sat on a stake wagon.

Very good and interesting to see the line in context, oh to have a Shed/Garage the size of yours. Sorry I know envy is a sin but…….

Thanks, I love being out in the workshop, I am very lucky to have it. Does need some fixing up thou its pretty rough on the outside.
Looking forward to when the R1 temp loop be removed and trains running down the outside wall of the workshop (Arosa Bahn, Chur street run style) and into the shed at the end.

Oh plenty of potential work for AI picture upgrades then.
