hello.....
Does anybody know that they do a point that is a 30 degree angle.....?
is this equivalent to and L.G.B R2?

Not sure Phil , but i have only used Aristocraft points once sold them very quickly as i had a lot of derailments

No Phil, not equivalent to R2 AFAIK. But TrainLine points near to R2 are available from Glendale Junction;

Not sure if they are 30 or 25 degrees so a call to Brian will clarify as to what angle they are.

You may be able to do as I've done at Quarry Junction though.

It's built on a 90 degree bend, double track, and the points are on the outer track, i.e. R2.

However all the points and track are actually R1. I've re-radiused the R1s to make it fit the space and it works quite well....

I know some one who had a R2 point made by GRS not sure on the cost .

Hullo Phil,

I looked again at the Glendale Junction site and I found this page....

There is a diagram of a R2 point in a crossover configuration with an R3 point, so the arc therefore must be 22.5 degrees. Also the R2 curves are 16 to a full circle, thus confirming the angle as mentioned.

So it doesn't look as if you will find a R2 point, 30 degree arc commercially available. But you could have a bespoke item made instead?
