I think I'll just apend bits to the firebox and, maybe something for the bell and whistle to the roof.

Sounds fine to me,to make the bells on some of my bashes i used wooden dolls house flower pots modifed of course just a thought as your a wizard at turning,only trouble they don`t have much of a "DING"but the original bell that has been cut of will probably come in handy?
This thread has been so inspiring that I bought three of these things over Christmas! Well, and the prices were really good. Those are my excuses at any rate. One saddle tank and two with tenders. A modest spray with some water would have helped with the curving process Mick. I tend to use a small mister from a chemist, comes in for all sorts of jobs.Cab getting a tiny bit nearer - now has the maklings of a roof glued on. The 1.5mm ply was bent round a piece of drainage pipe (smaller radius than the cab roof) and held in place with tie-wraps for a couple of days.
Glued it in position last night with the aid of twelve miniclamps no less!

I did give some thought as to using a small steam cleaner - but it might have softened the glue.
Looking great. I got a couple lil hualers for Christmas too. Great inspiration
Congratulations for the work, but if I may, I find the painting much too bright and the green of the cabin too "fancy"
