Well that's very confusing. No one would pay £65 for one axle surely? How many axles in a job lot? Does he have more than 10 job lots available or simply more than 10 axles?

These metal ones are slightly cheaper; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/metal-disc-wheels-for-16mm-G-gauge-on-32mm-gauge-track-25mm-Dia/111475749880?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140328180637%26meid%3Dda6fc93e93ee422b9b3b1a758d95a172%26pid%3D100009%26prg%3D20140328180637%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D281454782333

... but he may not post to Ireland ;D I would never buy any plastic wheelsets - like everybody else, they get chucked in a box. Mind you, I still have dozens of sets waiting to be replaced by metal ones!

It must be quite distressing for you being racially discriminated against by those who refuse to post to Ireland. I only have one set of plastic wheels and they are on the LGB toastrack trailer I bought. I think I shall make up metal wheels for it though because the plastic wheels are to railway profiule and hardly befitting running on tramway profile track...

I have a pile about a foot in diameter. Can't quite bring myself to chuck them out, but I doubt I'll ever find a use for them. Landfill, maybe!?
Keep them. If/when the day comes to sell off your wagons/coaches place them back in and sell off the metal sets that I presume you used to replace them with instead. Then you can say "totally original condition" in your sales pitch ;) That's what I did when I flogged off my LGB/Bachmann Big Mauler/Aristocraft stuff. Metal wheels are worth some money on their own.

Any plastic one left over after a count back can be used as a load on a flat car/gondola. Then head to the tip. Max.

I allways have problems with items like this, just incase they are members here.

Its the old everything has it's price, no matter how much it's worth. When I think how many I've given away to people scratchbuilding, and I paid the postage as well, I must be mad. ::)

No, the auction has ended, but the problem was with the ebay button here in the forum. It does something to the link to make it invalid. I've fixed it, try it now.

Must have been a collectors item... sold for $336...

RARE! Except for all the others Ebay proposes further down the page... ;D
