Along The Three Foot (occasional views from the Foxdale & St. Marks Railway)

A Handsome loco indeed , I enjoyed your pictures in the latest Garden Rail, but I could not remember your name on here. I plan on reading it after my return from the pub quiz

Currently taking shape in the carriage works, this DJB Brake/Third.
The different livery tells the story the that this one is not for me, but is being assembled for a local indoor line.
Lots to do yet

After the mid winter lay off, nature has been left to its own devices.

Not been on here for a few weeks, a quick update.
The carriage pictured above was finished a couple of weeks ago and is now in possession of its owners.

Also some alteration was neccessary to the route of the railway. The garden shed was moved and the site of the single track station has been altered . Top picture shows the site as it was, the rest as is now

Always a delight seeing your railway - really great atmosphere and attention to detail.

Very nice - the sepia one especially! Unless you knew better, you would assume it was 12 inches to the foot!

As for the the first pic in post 50 - I was going to comment (when you first posted) that it reminded me of a certain wall - apart from the orientation of the stonework - that caused massive problems for the Manx Electric!

Very nice.... The sepia works very well....

Bulgham, Mick! :D

Love the sepia shot too, Mike, that is the pest photo yet I have seen of either F&StM incarnations.

Another "Vintage" view, Caledonia drifts over the newly installed MNR "Basket Bridge" with a cattle train in tow.

This week has been spent building two new road bridges, the first one crosses over the top of Archallagan Station yard, and is on a bus route. The second crosses the line just ahead of the Silverburn River rail bridge. Both were built using a bag of slate chippings and a bag of postcrete. The third picture shows the railcars crossing the basket Bridge over the Silverburn

More great pics. Is the girder bridge a home-build? Looks very good.
