Adverts are totally ruining the forum experience on mobile

About the same as one bar of chocolate a month?

Hardly breaks the bank..

YMMV, of course?
PhilP.
not even 4 pints of beer (inmost places)!

I've had similar, but it seems to have diminished lately. I now get other more useful and interesting stuff mixed in with the scantily clad ladies. I wonder if only we older guys get Samantha Fox.

I have to look away out of politeness when swiping up on the mobile :tmi:

Oh no!! The ladies in tight clothing are starting to creep back into the adverts. I must visit Temu again and click on a few fluffy kittens (no, that's not a euphemism) and boxes of screws (ditto)

Grandad = No (not yet)
Comfy shoes = Partly ( I usually wear sandals (with sock in the winter))
Environment = Big tick (I already have PV panels and solar thermal)
Long hair = Tick (Longish)
Planes = Tick ( my 50th and 60th birthday treats were microlight flights)
Camcorder tapes = Big tick (I have a drawer full of them
Women in tight clothes = No comment
For me:
Women in tight clothes = Big Tick
The rest = Dunno, too busy looking at the above.

Bad news all round lads, would you believe Sam Fox prefers girlies. :*

I am concerned that quite a few of the ads which pop up are for scam products. I realise this is nothing to do with the forum, but why isn't Google clamping down on well known scams such as this one?

99% of feedback on Trustpilot for this company complain that this heater is not only ineffective but downright dangerous.

Often, when trying to,order one heater, buyers are charged for two or three which they cannot then cancel because the order has already been despatched five minutes after the order has been placed. These crappy heaters can be picked up on AliExpress for under £10.

I first spotted this scam around five years ago and yet Google and YouTube are still allowing them to be peddled.

Please, don't be fooled by this and other similar adverts (in the summer they try to sell cheap air conditioners).

Just one of the 140 negative reviews on Trustpilot

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - A Scam. This company is a complete fake and save your money and head y NOT buying from them. I stupidly clicked on the social media link and ordered 1 heater at £32 by the time I went through paypal and checkout they charged me an additional £64. I disputed and emailed them within 3 minutes of receiving the confirmation email and they said sorry you cannot cancel as the shipping label was printed and item has been dispatched from their warehouse. 3 MINS!!!! That is ridiculous that they can charge you the extra and then refuse to cancel the order. I have reported this to AMEX who will be cancelling the transaction and putting a black mark against them so it is highlighted if other customers also want to buy this product. BE AWARE and do NOT Buy.

I regard TEMU as a virus on my Android tablet (Google OS) it appears on everything; guess they pay Google and it is not going to turn down money because that is all Big Tech (the Tech Bros) are all about.

These type of products are also often electrically unsafe in Which? tests and also do not do what they claim.

When you have "COUNTRIES" that "SUBSIDIES" companies to take over markets you are in trouble, especially as counties can "INVENT" currency by inflation and "COIN CLIPPING". Then you add that the second biggest economy is doing this by giving free postage and marketing this is what you get. If you have purchased a CHINA made car (probably because its the cheapest around and understand why) you are buying a product subsidised by a country)

Even those who buy from Amazon are subject to this, Amazon was "CREATED" by very very very LOW tax incentives created by partnerships of governments and corporate lobbying across the world. Hense we now have MASSIVE grey amazon ROBOT (the jobs will go soon) warehouse boxs built on Greenbelt and Brown sites in every larger town and city across the globe..............

STOP CONSUMMING CRAP ! (am im guilty of this) as you get what YOU ask for.

Unfortunately, this is the world we live in. DO NOT buy any item from pop-up ads.
Marketing doesnt work like that, Its all about the LOGO (temu) and not the product, Humans are "intuitive" and "curious" so they know that a crap product is not worth buying, but they "have a look at TEMU" anyway, they promote the heater as its "winter", fuel costs are inthge news, its just a "reactionary" product.

@gerik, Please consider using BRAVE browser, it will make you life a lot happier and make the crap world we live within !
