Was over at John Campbell's today having a new chuff pipe and water gauge fitted to my C-16 and after we had finished John showed me a 2 chime steam whistle that he had made for a Accucraft K-28 , could of done with some ear defenders as it was the loudest steam whistle i've heard on a model steam loco . It sounded fantastic just right for the loco . Shot a short film of it in action so you can see & hear what you think . May have to get one to go my K-27 one day . Cheers John for a great morning steaming loco's by the way forgot to say how great the chuff pipe sounded on the C-16 no more mess out of the funnal

She sounds super :thumbup: you must be pleased with the result.

That is the best live steam whistle I've ever heard--it must be fairly large. Great job!
I wonder if he would share his plans for the whistle?

Hi Garry
Sadly the K-28 isn't one of my loco's :(, but the owner should be very pleased with the work that John has put into it ,a real labour of love as he does with all his models :)

Hi Keith
I would say it's the best whistle I have heard even sounds better than the one's you find on 5" gauge loco's . The chime tubes were fairly large under the boiler and worked from radio control , the loco also had a summer lands chuffer fitted that also sounded very nice .

Oh yes! Like that:thumbup:

In the words of Craig Revel-Horwood:
"F-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c!"
and Tina Turner:
"simply the best" (that I've ever heard.)

Nice work, John.

WOW! What a great whistle. I've never heard a whistle on our garden locomotives sound so good. It was almost as good as 'the real thing'!
