Thanks to the help on the other thread, I finally managed to get my Leader steaming nicely around the garden with a couple of IOM 4-wheelers in tow.

Video Here (Unfortunately lo-res, as I managed to drop my decent video camera on the patio and had to use my still camrea :()

Arriving at the terminus (first train to do so under its own power!)

I'd like to thank John at Track-Shack for his usual excellent service in the supply and RC fitting of the loco. Matt of Berry Hill Works for his fantastic paintjob, which really 'makes' the loco, and everyone else on here for your advice and support both in construction of the railway, choosing a loco, and getting it up and running.

Regards
Daniel

P.S. Time for a new avatar, it's still a little red train after all. Just don't tell the 1938 Stock or she'll start playing up!

Nice one Dan! It works if you persevere.

He's not realy a new member you know, that Percy Vere, he's been around forever. :rolf:

Nice engine and lining job.

Splendid choice of lining Daniel, I think Matt has really brought your loco to life. I always say money spent on quality lining always adds a greater proportion of visual appeal than the proportion of the overall cost.

Happy steamings,

John

Thanks.
It's one of the previous batch of bogie vans. They'd sold out by the time I wanted one, but this one turned up on Glendale's SH section for about £70. (Needless to say, it didn't stay there long! :))
