A Railway in South Brittany

Yes the storage sidings connect onto the High level line bottom left of the plan. I have the entire track down except for the end of the rack line; I am hoping to complete that shortly.

The wild life isn?t a problem at the moment though I do wage constant battles with ?Mr Mole? in the rest of the garden so could be a big problem if one ran amuck on the track area (but we have ways of dealing with them in France?. He he he)

Ran a test train today to check, the loading on temporary bridge, and smoothness of running.

Also got round to doing a bit of digging after the rain (the best time in my clay) also sorting out levels for the rack railway

I have fineshed concreting around the sides of the dock, as I wanted to cover the black liner, and do a bit of weed prevention, and re laid the sidings track.

WOW yet again flipin brilliant:thumbup:

Wow Peter. That is one hell of a layout! Built to last years and built to involve lots of [strike]playing[/strike] testing. A stupendous job. I am really envious of the space you have. It makes some of the photos really lifelike as the background scenery recedes to give such a realistic impression.

Amazing great stuff!!! One little comment - considering you have a lot or room I think you have used some suprisingly tight turnouts/points and curves here and there - reckon in the future you would be glad if it was all sweeping - it looks like you are investing heavily here! Please keep it coming it's fantastic.

That is totally awesome! I love the layout, excellent!!

A new station building, on the as yet to be named second station. This will take 2 passing trains and hopefully a shuttle service up to the higher level storage sidings.

Started the new walling for the Brewery, another gateway needed for the track I think. Also need to fix it firmly with some steel pegs in the concrete base as it is very vulnerable to animals both domestic and wild.

Seriously impressive. A real investment in every sense of the word.

Best wishes,

The main line is R2 & R3 with R3 point work, the sidings are admitedly R1 but then alot of narowguage had small radious point work. I dont intend running any long USA stock, so don't bring any if you visit.....

Really coming on brilliantly! I like your buildings - especially the brewery and the gates. Keep up the excellent work.

Mick

Very nice! Is there any scale beer in that brewery???
