Today my eye rested on a message top right of the screen where the opportunity was given to become a paying member WITHOUT ANY ADVERTISEMENTS any more in between your posts at a cost of 19 pound/year. The worst advertisements are showing very nasty pictures of people having sleeping problems.
What a very good initiative!
And what about a "lifetime no advertisement membership" ?
13-4-26 added note: It also appears that you can read the site on your phone very well without adds!

Been available for quite some years now, and though my browser (Brave) automatically does not show adverts, I have been paying for at least 4 years now :)

Jimmy that is the good spirit! The message on the site was directed to those who block adds but do not pay the 19 pounds.
I hope they will start to pay their share in keeping up this fantastic website.

i have adblocker on PC which works perfectly well but still pay for AD free membership - so i can read forum on phone - AD blocks won't work on android.

I quite like the ads. Quite interesting how the algorithms anticipate what might interest me. This seems to range from ladies' tight clothing through pension plans to multi packs of nuts and bolts.

I sometimes click on obscure ads (eg language learning courses) to keep the algorithms guessing.
