They are embossed plastic sheet - usually available at The Llanfair show or other good modelling G scale venues.
Best mounted on a solid background such as ext quality ply - the embossed plastic is quite thin and fragile.
I do like the weathered / broken section of stone walling
...... but the martians have landed and left half of their spacecraft in the field
