Hi I have just bought a pre owned LGB 50500 lampost which I think will look great on my station. However I currently only have a Piko 35006 basic controller which doesn’t have any 18v connections. Can anyone advise whether I can get some kind of power source for the lamp or can I get a larger controller that will allow for this connection?

A larger controller would be my suggestion, one with 12-24 V, either AC or DC.

You could power it from a pair of PP3 batteries but you would need a suitable enclosure, which could be hidden in a building nearby....

Your Piko controller has a 16V (up to 4A)DC output for accessories..

You won't notice the difference between using this and 18V for your lamp.

.... and it should make the bulb last longer :)
