now that is some modular layout

How do they make those tables so stable with no braces on the legs?
 
Think the legs fit in slots or corner brackets.
In one picture you can see a pile of legs on a trolley (1min 20 secs)

You must be kidding. Not in this country. Wouldn't want to give anyone the idea of taking the train instead of buying cars.

It appears that it can be assembled several ways

Agreed. I meant not to diminish the efforts of the layout builders
