Work continues on the Hither Green Valley

As the summer nights get longer it has given chance to get more work done on the track.... I have only seen one downside so far to running double track all the way around and that is twice as much track to ballast! So lots of time has been spent on hands and knees getting it to look right. Got just over half of it done so far. Also took delivery of a couple of tuxcraft buildings to add some life :) Made a new little station and also an engine shed. Looking pretty smart.

Thanks Neil, I am sure after a little careful thought I will get the point work sorted. I just want to make sure I do things right and not create any blue smoke and expensive mistakes :)

Myself and my Dad have created this layout over the last couple of years but have never really had a name for it... Hither Green is actually after the name of our road buuuuuuuut having read that article I think a rename may be in order.... dont want to be tempting fate! Any suggestions on how to come up with a good name for your garden railway??

The options are endless but a good start might be to think about the ending first. Such as -ley, -ham, -by or -don. Then add a word or name at the front that means something to you.
I came up with Ridley for my OO and Z layouts (Ridley sounds like it could be anything from a small village to a large town and could be UK or US) but it also happens to be that I think that Ridley Scott is the best film director ever, so it just had to be :)

Enjoy the challenge!
