Wiring LGB 2-wire switches to 5175 Momentary Control Box

I have been attempting but with no success to wire turnouts properly so that they switch in both directions. The turnouts are the standard 2 wire (red & white) and I am using the 5175 momentary control box. Am I missing something? If I physically alternate the actual wires to the box I can make the switch go the other way. I have read that although the box has the 4 wire inputs you only need to use two of them to make a switch work. I am grateful for any input. Thanks!

You should be wiring an AC supply to the 5175. (normally black and white connectors on an LGB Power unit. If you use DC ( the red and blue connectors used for track supply) by mistake I believe it would lead to the situation you describe.

I totally concur doctor.

I have been given the 5175 I have picked the power off the track, I do get the flashing showing I have power to the points but no movements does it mean I have to go back to the transformer? Les

Agreed - the input should be AC
