I have need of a couple of 4 or 6 pane Georgian style windows. Is the best ploy to use 1:24 dolls house ones, or make your own, and if so with what? Plasticard?

Cheers lads, sounds like what I needed to know. I once watched the bloke who started Slaters making windows as a demo. Somehow, I think I was hoping to avoid that! :bleh:

Speak as you find the service I've had from Steve is excellent and his windows, used in reverse, work a treat with the old fascia board.

Yep, I'll second that comment!

I've a few Jacksons buildings on the LG&B which have been outside in all weathers for a few years now.

And I also made low relief stations for Sheringham and Hardyard using Correx/Plasticard and windows and doors supplied by Steve....

My order is now with Steve, but don't hold your breath for results, as those that know, I rarely rush at these things, usually circleing it for a week or two before stepping up.......................................and making a mess of it.

Thanks for the order Bob. It'll be in the post on Monday.
I don't know why Tom thinks the items from Hobbies are slightly different. We supply them!
Thank you for everyone's support. I'm glad our doors and windows are popular.
And of course the doll house stuff is our main business so if you fancy decorating your building Bob, this would look very nice in it I'm sure.

Steve

I think I know the reason Steve and it's a bit embarrasing :(
I was comparing the ones that came recently with your small station with ones I'd used from Hobbies to build a 1:24 dolls house several years ago (like... erm.. 7 years ago). So I'm guessing that any product will change slightly in that time and they could have had a different supplier then.
That'll teach me to fire off a quick reply without thinking things through! :D

'Circling' now started in earnest; it requires a proper paint job. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
