Whitchurch & Test Valley Railway - A new start.

Hi all,

Not much going on at the moment due to lack of materials but we did get some of the concrete foundations laid. I am hoping to get some more bricks soon so we can start on the wall.
I will take some pictures latter.

Hi all,
Recently got lots of stuff for the garden, 150 bricks of ebay, 50 stone faced bricks and a lot of gravel off freecycle and some concrete and mortar.

An exciting development - always great fun mixing mortar and concrete and seeing things becoming three-dimensional. Enjoy!

Hi all,
Over the last few days we have got some bricks layed and our plum tree pruned. Its too wet at the moment for more brick laying so I am hoping it will dry up soon. I will take some pics later if it drys up a bit.

You sound handy - what's your daily rate as a navvy? Bacon buttie and a coffee?

Hi all,
I must start by apologising for total lack of any action on the forum recently but going back to school has rather got on top of me and also as a result of this progress on the garden railway has faltered.
Although in no way do I plan to give up I cannot see much more progress as winter is setting in.
Although I have been looking at the forum quite regularly I have been putting off posting as I felt guilty for my lack of update.

Hopefully I shall keep the garden in a reasonable state so that I can return to it when some good weather comes around.

Hope to be on a bit more now I am also particularly interested in the action on the GVT thread as this tramway is particularly close to my heart.
