Where can i find the PC programing software? Massoth.

O where can I download the Massoth PC programing software?
I have been on their website and logged in and found what I thought was it but nothing. I have just reinstalled XP on an old computer for train stuff and was trying to re program a train that isn't going... I have some people coming Tuesday, isn't that always the way?
 
Log in to the download center, the software can be found under "Dimax & Emotion Software".
 
Hi Muns thanks but I Found the file before, firmware 8175001 download .01mb (I have a serial module) but windows wont open it and the Demax software loader just seems to go round in circles and not running the program.. B...d computers >:( >:(
 
Sorry Peter, I do not understand what you mean.

To update the firmware in the Serial PC module....

1) Download the requires firmware file (Massoth Download Center -> DiMAX -> DiMAX PC Module, click on "Download" for "8175001 Firmware DiMAX PC Module (serial only)", do not run it, SAVE it. The filename should be "100A_v21.dimax".

2) Connect the PC module to the PC and power.
3) Run the DiMAX Update tool, follow the prompts selecting the file you downloaded in 1) and the correct Serial port at the required places. The firmware should be uploaded to the module.
 
I think we are both confused, ( I can do that to anyone)
I don't necessarily want to update the firmware on the PC module, I want the program to run the pc module. I had one on a CD previously.
 
In that case, it is where I originally said.

"Dimax + eMotion Update Software" - to update decoder firmware/sounds etc...

"MASSOTH DCC Programmer V1.2.48.0" - to read and program decoder CVs.

I must have been having a "senior moment" yesterday (they occur more often these days) yes downloaded the software so hopefully be able to check and re program the locos if necessary

Just remember there are two separate programmes..
One is the Update Tool - used to load sounds, update firmware etc.
The other is the Programming Tool - to read / write CV's etc.

Be aware the templates are not necessarily up to date, so not all CV's are shown in the software. - Only really a problem with the likes of the Allegra..

there are 2 devices which can be used for updates.

- MASSOTH PC-Modul (old style with just RS232 or new style with USB)
or
- DiMAX Central station (all types)

The PC-Modules are good for:

- updating decoder firmware, file-extension = .eMotion
- updating decoder sounds, file-extension = .eMotion
- updating Navigator firmware, file-extension = .DiMAX
- updating Navigator picture-base, file-extension = .DiMAX
- updating itself...., file-extension = .DiMax

- read/write ALL CV's in an Decoder including adress-CV on Programming-track

The Central station is good for

- updating Navigator firmware, file-extension = .DiMAX
- updating Navigator picture-base, file-extension = .DiMAX
- updating other DiMAX-devices such as remote-transmitter etc. file-extension = .DiMAX
- updating itself...., file-extension = .DiMax
..all on MASSOTH-BUS.

- read/write ALL CV's in an Decoder including adress-CV on Programming-track

You cannot update firmware and Sound on Decoders without PC-Module.

Update or Sound is done by "DiMAX-Service tool" software, CV-Programming is done by "DCC-Programmer" package.

all free of charge, you need just a registration of your email-account in the download-center.

once installed, the "DCC-Programmer" has an auto-update-function now.
