What happened at your workbench today?

Where (roughly) will you be coming to?

PhilP.
On Thursday, I'll be with a friend in the Midlands, driving trains.
Over the weekend I'll be with friends in Yorkshire, playing music.

Additionally, I'll be driving on the left hand side for the first time. I'm bringing my own car on the boat from Rotterdam to Hull. I've studied the Highway Code and watched a lot of british dashcam videos, so I hope that'll help me some.

Ah, driving on the correct side - you'll get used to it :nod:

Whereabouts in Yorkshire, it's a big place.

You will get easily driving on the left side. Just be careful when you come to the first roundabout and if you stop somewhere and take the drive again, I'm speaking of my own experience after having traveled many times to England in the past.

Yep, same as when we go across the channel and have to drive on the wrong side of the road.

Roundabouts and, for Jasper, right hand turns at junctions .................... you seem to launch yourself into a sea of nowhere :worried:

With the Clogher Valley rail truck nearly complete -r/c and a new axle are on order- my attention has turned to the other Clogher Valley/CDR railcar. The body is mostly done, the builder having got a long way with it; and the quality of the work is excellent. But it has no running gear whatsoever, I don't know what scale it is, and I can't find any drawings of it online. So I'm making it up as I go along, starting with the power bogie. So far I've drilled some brass sheet for the frames, cut some mounts for the wheel bearings, and turned the bearings.

The next stage will probably be frame spacers...

There's nothing more frightening than being a front seat passenger in a left hand drive car being driven on a British road!

How do you think SWMBO felt as a passenger in the left hand seat when we've driven through France ? And that's with my driving :devil:
