What happened at your workbench today?

None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for AI doing all the program writing. The making of the boards was easy because of my avionics technician background.
I had the concept in my head for a long time but with my lack of skill at writing code for the Picaxe and ESP01 (thanks to AI suggestion of using ESP01 when I first asked if it was possible).
The program for the display (written in a language called Python (after Monty Python) was so far out of my league it was not funny.
I have found AI to be a very handy tool to fill in knowledge gaps which is the way to view it. It is not perfect however so I would never trust it real far despite what the geeks claim.
The idea of using AI came from a comment made by a member of this forum.
Hopefully the next project will be as enjoyable.

Yes, AI relies very much on what has gone before, and if that is wrong, AI may still quote it.

It also picks up on odd things and makes bits up. I may have recounted this before, but a pastor had done a sermon, and used AI to prepare some Bible Study notes for further use.

His sermon was on Joseph, and as the Post Office scandal was in the news, he brought Paula Venells' name into it.

He was rather non-plussed when AI referred to a Biblical person - Paul of Ennels :D:D

Yup we get what we deserve with AI, personally I think it is all a lot of hype by rich gits trying to get richer (think Musk, Bezos, Gates, and that FB guy), hopefully they will be the first in line when the Robots take over. After all they will need grunts like us to do the menial things that they cant manage for a while.

Bearing in mind that so many products offer AI out of the blue, I think you're right or AI is a very flexible term which includes just matching words with references to the same words on other sites, i.e. copying.

As they used to say, coyping from one source is plagiarism, copying from more than one source is research.
 
AI is just a glorified search engine when it all boil down to it. It just has a few bits tacked on to try and make it look smart.
I had a boss who was a bit like that tell him something he didn't know and a week later he was spruiking it like he knew all about it.

Yes, I had a boss like that who could recite word for word something I had said.
