What happened at your workbench today?

They say that anything is repairable:

Yes, those 'gold-plated' pins, have gone green...

Needless to say, it is dead, deceased, an ex transmitter! - Though it is not Norwegian, and the green is the nearest it has ever been to blue.

My loco shed doors take a battering from the wind, so another round tuit job today is fixing and strengthening the hinges and adding a latch of styrene profile, to try to keep them securely closed when not in use.

Next time you visit bring doors over and I will make some of the latches out of brass for you.

For my birthday, we took advantage of the 40% off at the IP Engineering stand and bought a Tralee & Dingle pick-up truck. It wasn't the easiest of builds, as the main base of the truck was so badly warped, it wasn't usable. And, for some reason the various glues I had seemed to be reluctant to work properly. Apart from when I spilt some and ruined the table cloth! Anyway it is now done, apart from some paint that needs touching up.20250630_225355.jpg20250630_225402.jpg

On my workbench is an LGB Feldbahn wagon being converted to carry passengers. Since I don't yet have any seated 7/8ths figures, an upright one poses for the photo. I hope I got the measurements right so the seated figures when they arrive can actually sit.

Some 3D printing today. I got some rather nice olive green filament, and it cried out to become a little shunter. Some parts are from Thingiverse, but the bonnet, engine detail, radiator and buffer beams are all my own. This is fresh off the printer and just glued together, no paint or finishing as yet. It will run with the short rake of tubs, which hopefully just need minimal weathering and the couplings fitted. 1752068007813.png

Variation on a theme:

A loomed-up receiver, designed to 'drop-in' to an already built Boot Lane Works model..
Except this one has connections for a MyLocoSound card and directional lights.

It has to have the various connectors, to make it possible to thread the cables through the model. - They are different, to make it as 'customer-proof', as possible. :wondering:

Since the weather has been hot and humid, I've been working on some projects for my "O" gauge layout. The video of the flying witch could be clearer. Not sure why isn't. I shot it with my iPhone, as I do all of my picture and video taking.

I'm very impressed! Found some like this on eBay. I have a similar shelf and need a doorway. Mine isn't cut through yet, though.
