WGRG Visits the Lyndi Railway

The Wellington Garden Railway Group's February running afternoon was hosted at one of our Group's favourite railway, Brian C's Lyndi Railway.
It's in a pretty awkward shaped area of the garden but that just adds to the interest.

Breath in as you squeeze past the back of the garage...

to open out again at the northern end.

And here is the man himself showing where his next scratch built structure will go.

A new feature is the winery...

All scratch built of course....

Needless to say the winery grows it's own grapes

Railway flavoured wine, my favourite

Of course New Zealand may becoming the new premium wine producer to the world, but sheep farming continues to be the foundation to our great nation.

Back to the railway and it's new ballast train and crusher plant.

Simmering awaiting the call to come forward...

Meanwhile at the new Mystique station there is time to rest between trains.

Meanwhile back at the main station it's a hive of activity

A warm sunny spot to watch trains

And eat Diane's yummy scones and cream

Oh yes and New Zealand is a world leader in dairying (and that's Ian G's Wadlin' Goslin.

Some of these detail pictures were taken by my daughters, it's interesting what appeals to the young ones.

And I think they have good taste

Lovely pictures as usual John.
The overhang in that first one in post 7 could be used as a warning to modellers who think they can get away with tight clearances!
