Warley Model Railway show 2016

Gutted I missed you sorry paul...best thing ever about aLl shows are seeing old and new freinds ...catching up ..swapping story's . .. davied sheep and the beer bottle story is the stuff off legends
It's so big it's easy to miss people unless you've arranged it ;)
Are you doing the last NGSW show at Shepton in February again as I'm there with my HOm Harz?

So that's the 2016 show over. Thoughts Now turn to the 2017 show. At Warley club we will get our new G scale layout up and spend the winter working on it for its first exhibition appearance at the Warley NEC show 2017.
It will be 15' by 10' but we might add further boards to make it expandable to up to 20' by 15' at a later stage. It will be a representation of a garden railway rather than a model railway. This means LGB track and a lot of artificial grass. The aim is to get people thinking about building a garden railway. At the moment it is called Hortus Halt.

Morning Chris

It was nice to speak to you yesterday, I almost didn't recognise you with your clothes on (collar, tie and smart blazer).

Hi David

Nice to see you. Yes I was scrubbed up and in my "uniform". That was one of the few times I was by my layout.

Not sure paul...if possable yes ..

It's the train headboard not the loco, (named to match the train), and that looks like the procast stand so I'd guess an aluminium replica.

Quite, it occurred to me after I posted that I meant the train, not the loco. However, question answered, thanks.

I rarely take many pics at Shows, some are mostly to remind me of things that I might do.

Below is a rather nice Train Casette that inspired me.

HAMBOEDIN VALLEY? This was used in the Live Steam G Scale line to rescue a Train after a Loco ran out of Puff. Interesting LGB Chassis, possibly from one of the Mallets? A very nopice looking Beast. However it did run a little lumpy, hardly surprising when you are running Live Steam all day with little use of Electric Power. Think that they might be better served with Battery Back up Power. But what a superb line and a great concept.
