Hi all
does anyone have or know were i can buy a second hand battery r/c diesel shunter, i have seen the roundhouse little john for sale (New) but they all seem to come without sound, if they fit sound they get pricey
i run two battery steam loco,s already

What radio system(s) do you already use?
Would you want it to be compatible with your present gear?
Have you thought of fitting the RC and sound your self?
Any preference to country of origin of the prototype?

Hi
No it does not need to be compatible don,t think I could fit r/c or sound
England

If you want cheap you can't beat the Playmobil diesel for around £60.

Mamod have also started selling a good looking metal diesel loco.

The PM diesels are good, but now they are out of production they are going up in price.... don't know if you'll find one for as little as £60 now, if you do then grab it!

Before buying one of the new Mamod ones I'd look back at Casey's woes on the forum about the one he bought - ended up having to get a new third-party chassis for it...... it may have been a rogue one, but I'd still be a little bit cautious......

In that case I'd second Steve's suggestion of the yellow Playmobil one, if you can find a good one at a reasonable price.

I've seen some on eBay recently selling for between £50-60. Plenty about especially if you are willing to order from Germany.

WIth the Playmobil diesel, if you buy the complete set and sell off the wagons, and track via eBay, it does make a very attractivly priced loco

Dan

LOL that is what I did, when I got mine 2 years ago, it cost me about £90 and I got about £40 for the wagon and track.
