Wanted, IOM 2 axle Accucraft Coaches

Just to advise Rails has two of these in stock on eBay:

Priced at £89.50 each however they currently have a 20% off code (DEAL20) which would take the price down to £72 each if of use to you. Using Topcashback would also give you circa 70p back per coach as well (every little helps ).
Many thanks, though considering "new" are £90.00, and current trade is £60.00 rather expensive.

Its all perspective and the moving market. I had about three or four for £20 - £30 each so from that perspective £60 is rather expensive. It is an asset that keeps growing regardless - even during a financial crisis the price of model railways continues to rise so you'd never actually lose on it. Just more about how quickly you're looking to get them really.

Rails are always open to offers..

I have bought recently, offering less than their asking, to include carriage.

All my offers have been accepted.

Yes, I think there is still a ceiling price people are willing to pay, you can see this on ebay with some of the starting prices, and the items being re-listed until an accepted price is reached.

Seems my offer was rejected :(
Just to check - did you offer without the 20% as effectively you can then take that off afterwards as you'd apply the DEAL20 code when checking out. Assuming my maths is correct if you offered £75 (for instance) then the 20% code would be £75 - £15 = £60.

I just updated my offer based on your comment, and again immediately refused, would seem to be automated.

I've had mixed results with Rails as regards offers, sometimes accepted, sometimes rejected. And the answer doesn't always seem related to the offered price compared with the asking price.

Possibly, it depends a little on the perceived 'popularity' (or rarity?) of the item?

I must admit, US outline, Burlington Northern rolling stock, is a bit obscure and 'niche' for the UK. :D

The offers on eBay are often a moot point. Just to get you to play ball with the saving of the cost of a pork pie.
