Mike's clamps have arrived early in the post, Chuggy's ones are on their way, and I've packed up a Massoth one ready to post to Ed soon.

This is precisely why we have such a brilliant forum; we have brilliant people!

BTW, I'm still looking (hungry) for moooorrre….

Without wishing to get Gizzy's hopes up, I have some Hillman-Clamps-for-LGB-Rail in my "spares" box . . . but I plan to use them * unless anyone can supply me with a decent quantity of Hillman-Clamps-for-Tenmille-Rail. However, I've asked on here before with little success (I think someone offered me two), so I don't feel hopeful.

Yet another object lesson in "buy more than you think you need" because you can't guarantee that things you take for granted will be around for ever.

* What I've resorted to doing is joining two pieces of Tenmille rail with a "for LGB Rail" clamp, adding two short lengths of wire (stripped from electric cable) to allow the clamp to "bite" (on both foot and web). This is a picture of my "proof of concept", with unnecessarily long bits of wire . . .
