Victoria Build

Amateur Radio, 16mm/G scale railways
Hi Guys
I am about to embark on a battery powered model of Victoria which is the 16mm centre spread drawing SMT August edition. Now the major materials - mostly brass and brazing are no problem with the exception of the 33mm steel driving wheels. Having browsed bout the web a bit I cannot find spoked wheels of anything like the right size. Brandbright have solid wheels of an approximate size and decent weight, which I suppose could be drilled and modded, but its a lot of work and machined castings would be a much better option. Has anyone any ideas of where I can find the simpler but probably much more expensive option?

Cheers.

GRS or Slaters might do the wheels you are after

If it is battery powered can't ou use LGB, Aristo-Craft or USAT loco wheels?
Looking at Aristo-Craft as possibilities. Currently also hunting for G1 castings that can be machined to fit.

Cheers.

Did you try Walsall Wheels ? They do castings for machining, in, I think 0 gauge and gauge 1

Dave is correct, Walsall are your men. Many Years back I got a set of Wheels Supplied and Turned up by them for a Burtonport 4-8-0. Never got further than the Chassis and Boiler, but they are rather nice Wheels.
