Hi All,

Can someone help please.
I keep getting firmware update failed, your dimax did not responde in time.
Ive tried it on two different computers and its the same message.
Ive tried the ports at the back.
The 1200z says its receiving data & the activity light is on.
Its the first time i have updated the software on the navi.
How do you reboot the navi after this failure, as its stuck in update mode.

The 1200z is running 2.61 software.
The navi was 1.71 software.
My other one is 1.81d, I dare not touch that one at the mo.

Thanks
Tony...

Leave it alone for the mo....you wont be able to get it to update or re load the earlier software.......

Mine did the same a while back, initially it was on its way back to Germany, but it was sent to Muns (Mark) and he managed to sort it out for me.

Is there anyone with another massoth set up locally who can help.....My assumption is that its something with the main unit rather than the navigator..

Should add i've never done any updates since.....

Have you downloaded the Dimax and e-motion software from the download centre? If memory serves me right This lets the pc and 1200 talk to each other and without it you get the 'out of time' messages.

Yes I have, thought this was the only software that could be used!!
I am have the exact same issue as the one below, taken from the massoth forum

[/blockquote] Sorry Peter, nothing works!

impossible to go back to version 1.70! or 1.71
Dimax says :
Data connection with PC successfull receiving data (power and activity LED stay bright)

Navigator says :
Dimax 400 H Software-update...
- Init OK
- Header OK

Dimax software update utility says :
Your Dimax did not respond in time (timeout when waiting for device)

And from there nothing works
