Hi All, I am new to this forum but not new to railway modelling, I have recently converted from British OO to G scale. I was interested in converting a caboose excess to my needs into a lineside fettlers cabin/hut. Just wondering if any one has previously attempted this, any pics or ideas would be a great help. Regards to all

Not a caboose but some prototype pics of coaches used as Stations that may give an odd idea or two.

Welcome to the forum sir....

I am currently converting a Caboose in to a cafe!!

Welcome, Mauriel, youvehad some advice already, and you've also seen the really dodgy humour, so all good!

Welcome to the group Mauriel.

I have a scratch built carriage, which we made several years ago, but it never really ran well. It is on the cards to mount that on some sleepers to make a 'waiting room' for one of the halts on our model engineering site garden railway. Your idea is a good way to make use of spare stoke and personalise your railway at the same time. I hope it goes well.

That reminded me of the grounded coach body at Gorleston-on-Sea, where my folks lived when my father commanded the local heavy gun battery along the cliffs. I was of course not born then but I used to look out for it as a small lad, when we drove past, as I thought it seemed such an exotic place to live.
