Tumble Down Falls

Likewise I have been using Bachman metal wheels for over 2 decades now with few problems. I have encountered the odd out of gauge or wobbly one. These have been swopped out, key is to record wagon and location over a few running sessions. If tis the same wagon test out with eye to track to see what is occuring and which wheel, thus identified take that one out of wagon to examine it carefully. Roll along the track does it wobbke? Try it through a point does it go smoothly past the safety rail. All dead simple logical stuff to do.

I thought that LGB & Bachmann wheels would follow the industry 's standards
LGB definitely not, but ..................... they are both manufactured so that they run on track that is to model railway standards (can't remember which acronym I need).

The Bachmann / Lilliput wheel-sets, also seemed to suffer from quality control issues?

I have found some are out of gauge, and I did have some where the wheels were not perpendicular to the axles..

I have not had any recently, so this may be historical, but knowing how stock can hang around for some time..

PhilP.
Just found that out I have one wagon with Bachmann one on them, just fitted straight out of the packet, and it derails at the same point on a straight line at one spot all the others go through with no trouble.
Time to get out the track guage and the Jim Crows methinks.
