Maybe you can refer to this tower tram...
I do it again...
A nice request from the internet, moved me to build this freelance tram tower car again. It is now a little easier, because I can use the experience of the first car. However, this car is not digital, which gives me a headache because of the LED lighting.

The new attachments were finely trimmed. Then the housing will be primed and painted. All parts are not fixed with screws or glued Unfortunately, this tower car will be analogue. So I still have problems to find a place for batteries. These are for four orange flashing LEDs.

A mixed joined pack of batteries should be possible, some in the roof and some behind the central portion behind the steps. It would also be possible I reckon to do a Battery DCC fit, FOSWORKS in U.K. can supply all the bits even the split battery pack to your specification. I tape up old batteries (AAA batteries can sometimes work better in a small space) to get a feel for how things will fit, specs of the Receiver plus speaker size also on his site, use them and a DCC chip sized bits of card to see how everything can fit before making an order. 12v battery pack or about will be more than adequate.

Seats have become a favourite place for me to locate batteries, however if the batteries are only for the flashing lights would some AAA size batteries fit under the platform or in the roof clerestory?

Yes they would. Try it with some taped up.

If just for lights how-about some button lithium batteries, they should still last quite awhile.

Inspiring, as always, Peter.

Can I ask, where you get the orange lights you have used on the four corners?

Thank you,
PhilP.

The great fear of painting, unfortunately, was not unfounded. Wrong advice in the hardware store. Thus, a wrong paint, which was very, very difficult to handle with the airbrush. The first lacquer attempt went into the pants. Paint noses everywhere. So sanding and try again, I wanted to support the drying process and used a hot air gun. The amazing result, the "color beads" disappear and create a uniform color surface, So have sprayed in sections and my friend Wilfried dried these areas. Now we hope that the result remains so,
