First stop is Market Sidings where an explosives van and an empty sheep wagon are waiting to be picked up (empty sheep are the ones that don't return your calls). The brake van is propelled into the right hand siding to allow the extra wagons to be coupled.
Not too sure what elf n safety would make of the fact theres a tanker coupled next to the explosives van........:nail::nail::nail:
An EMPTY explosives van.

Terrific stuff, Mel !!!!!!!

Grand! Awesome photos Mel. I'm guessing you've been enjoying the Cliff Barber remote control and shunting mode? What a lovely way to spend an early, sunny, spring evening!

Looks like you may, just possibly, have had fun, too! Is that really allowed?

Love the atmosphere the third and fourth photos create; all hands to clear the daily pickup for transfer.

It's amazing how much the Thomas conversions come across as 'real' despite your comprimises in their construction - you've a great eye for composition, not just in your photos or the layout scenery, but also the models themselves. Excellent stuff, and keep it up, it's good fun to read about it too!

Ta. What do you have planned for the "under development 2012" section; yard expansion?

If I was to seek to occupy that proportion of the available real estate, I suspect the estate manager would cause me permanent injury, if she didn't take it even further!

There's a rumour that space will be required for the storage, preparation and consumption of beer, pork pies, beer, sausages, beer, cake and beer! :rolf:

Nice

Are you planning to run the standard gauge into the shed mate?
Yes mate. Fed up with having to carry all of the rolling stock out of the garage every time, so that's the next big (ish) job. The stock is less likely to get damaged in da shed and it's all lockable, although I'll still keep the loco in the house for security.

No, no Neil. I know there's not much space that hasn't got any railway in it, but that's what that's been left clear for. :rolf::rolf::rolf::rolf:

Spoz, there are 2 possibilities for the "under development" site. Either a rail served RAF base, or a means of giving my tram hauled trains their own specific destination. Much planning is being undertaken ................ so it will probably end up being something completely different?:confused::rolf::rolf:

Cool. Sorry about the sheep related thread drift yesterday bud. Back on topic now.

Although the available space is pretty much filled with railway, ours is only a very small garden (about 24 feet wide by 20 feet deep as you look at the track plan). If you had a really big garden, you could quite easily fence or mask off an area this size and still have plenty of operational possibilities. I started off with the little loop that surrounds Wetton station in 2006.

Doesn't that make it worse - more air = bigger bang :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
