Today on the WGLR

Mel some lovely atmosphere :)

Is there a plan for W&L inspired 'transfer shed' (i.e. barn like structure) straddling both gauges?

That coaling stage Looks Fantastic Mel :thumbup:

Mel that's looking fantastic. If I can get even a fraction of the detail you've got on your line, I'll be well chuffed.

Thanks guys. :thumbup:

No James, but the loading bay will be getting a roof. Next job though is to ballast the standard gauge. :bigsmile:

Brilliant as usual Mel.:bigsmile::thumbup:

Exquisite (I think that's how you spell it) :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup::thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Well today went to plan. First the standard gauge got ballasted.

Then it was physio afternoon, so to stop me from crying, I ran a train or two.
Platform 2 isn't normally used for WGLR passenger services, but No.4 was shunted in that way to check clearances.

All was well (just), so we set off for another scenic tour of the Wetton Valley while the Stainz sits sizzling away next to the coal stage.

A big day tomorrow - a state visit from the royal family of a certain central European state. Their Olympic team has choosen Gooey as their training camp, so all details have to be agreed and local hostelries checked for food quality. Unfortunately I can't name the country in question due to the heightened state of security, but photos may appear this time tomorrow. Iolo Williams has us all on red alert .......... even though it meant changing the light bulb. :nail::nail::nail::nail:

Looking much better.... :thumbup:

More excellent modelling Mel. :thumbup:
That wall would look even more like Caernarfon with my NGG 13 Garratt standing in the station! :rolf:

Nice- now it's all ballasted up the interchange is looking brilliant. I'm liking the idea of some form of canopy over it too, I think that'll finish it off nicely.

Mel - awesome...
Does the WGLR management expect to host the visitors on it's own trains, or will they be travelling in under their own steam (pardon the pun)?
