Today on the WGLR

Thanks guys. I wasn't too keen on the last photo, so here's a better attempt.

In other news, having some nice new brushes for Christmas doesn't half help when doing lettering.

The WGLR is pleased to announce that, in an effort to be bought kicking and screaming into the 21st Century, it now has it's own facebook page.
Jeees Mel, you'll be telling us next that you have installed that new fangled electrickery lighting in your house!

Love the photos mate. An artist at work......

Fantastic paint work on the open steel wagon Mel  Really does look as if it's made of metal with those rust bubbles

Great photos as usual Mel - where's the Pannier?
In the dry and warm with me James. Still a bit windy though.

I had no idea what the dimples on the outside of the all steel wagon were for. According to the new book which turned up this morning, they were the backing plates for tie-down loops on the inside of the bodywork ....... so that's another job that needs doing.

You may re-call that my LGB Corpet entered the workshops a month or so ago for a swift make-over and conversion to self contained battery power. The weather was too bad to get any outdoor pics at the time, but I've managed to get a few today.

One of the things I'm most pleased about is that the extra battery power bits don't show up, even though I didn't make a concious effort to hide them when taking the photos. There's an on/off switch on one side of the frame under the cab and the charging socket on the opposite side.
