Just to keep everything up to date - I managed to get out and take a pic of the Preiser conversions as I intended them to look the other day.

Also, the all steel open wagon is now finished (except for screw couplings which are in hand).

In the dry and warm with me James. Still a bit windy though.

I had no idea what the dimples on the outside of the all steel wagon were for. According to the new book which turned up this morning, they were the backing plates for tie-down loops on the inside of the bodywork ....... so that's another job that needs doing.

You may re-call that my LGB Corpet entered the workshops a month or so ago for a swift make-over and conversion to self contained battery power. The weather was too bad to get any outdoor pics at the time, but I've managed to get a few today.

One of the things I'm most pleased about is that the extra battery power bits don't show up, even though I didn't make a concious effort to hide them when taking the photos. There's an on/off switch on one side of the frame under the cab and the charging socket on the opposite side.
